In this, we will go over some foundational pen and ink techniques and various approaches to the medium. First, we will focus on some exercises to help warmup and build confidence in marking the page. Then, we will focus on some important foundations: line weight, breaking down forms, construction, identifying and interpreting texture, various techniques to create value with ink, and some basic perspective. To do this, we will be working from various photographic references that will be provided. These foundational skills will be the main focus of day one. Then we’ll progress to drawing from reference. References will be provided during class, but students can bring their own references if they would like. All skill levels welcome. Maximum of 8 students. Two 3-hour sessions.

*To reserve your place in any class, payment must be received at the time of registration.

*For a refund on any of our classes, we will need to be notified at least 48 hours in advance of the first class.
