This weekend workshop is an introductory level course covering the basic principles of abstract painting. We’ll delve into color mixing, mark making and integrating form and line to build structure in composition. Taking the lead from mid-century masters and contemporary artists, we practice layering acrylic paint using a variety of tools and techniques. Working on several paintings simultaneously we build interest through additive and subtractive processes. Guided exercises encourage students to draw on both intuition and intention in the process. Maximum of 10 students. Two 3 hour sessions (Please sign up no later than noon June 24th to insure time to receive the zoom class link. Download the Zoom app on your devise and I will send you an email with the link before our first class begins.)
*If you would like a certificate mailed to someone else, please put their name and address under 'Additional Notes' when checking out.*
