#015-THE QUIET NOTICING PROJECT: A GENTLE + IMPERFECT PATCHWORK (with zoom)

In this weekly workshop, Emily Looman will guide you in assembling a series of collages. Each one will be a gentle + imperfect patchwork of smaller bits, created using pencil, ink, and watercolor. You will have the option to incorporate additional elements, including text, photographs, fabric swatches, handmade papers, dried or pressed flowers - anything that feels meaningful to you. Emily will demonstrate and share examples of how she uses this patchwork style in her sketchbook, on her wall, and in her photographs. She will discuss how some of her collages are fixed while others are looser, less permanent, fluid. She will offer insight into how this style has helped her to build confidence and a sense of consistency - how it has enabled her to gentle her self-talk, work with her imperfections, and recognize a sense of wholeness in herself and in her work. Four 2.5-hour sessions. Maximum of 8 students. Emily Looman (@quietnoticing on Instagram) This class has filled. If you wish to be on our waiting list please contact us at 541-683-2787 (ext 1).
