Whether you’ve taken this class before or are completely new to the idea of a sketchbook practice in entirety, there’s something in here for you! We’ll talk about exercises to “loosen up” when drawing, how to increase and sustain enjoyment in making art, where to begin when drawing a new subject, and play with how to fill pages in your sketchbook. This class is a unique combination of a guided art-making practice and an artist support group to share and encourage one another along our practices. Time is built into the class for draw-along demonstrations of specifically requested subjects if you have any, and since it can be challenging to incorporate uninterrupted art-making time into a daily routine involving family members/jobs/chores/responsibilities, there will always be time to relax into the creative process. All media accepted (and encouraged) as long as it works within a sketchbook!

Maximum of 8 students. Four 3 hour sessions

*To reserve your place in any class, payment must be received at the time of registration.

*For a refund on any of our classes, we will need to be notified at least 48 hours in advance of the first class.

The following materials are required for this class

Please make sure you have them on hand or purchase them before the class begins.

***NOTE: All Students get 20% off purchases made while enrolled in a class***

      · A sketchbook!
Any size is good, although I recommend larger rather than smaller (9x12 is great)
Paper type can also vary, if you have Mixed Media that is best, but don’t worry too much about buying something completely new if you have one you enjoy already
      · Pencil and eraser for sketching
      · Other drawing materials you’re comfortable with (colored pencil, marker, pen, collage supplies, etc)
      · Any other materials you think would be fun to play with!
