DERWENT CHARCOAL PENCILS

Charcoal particles are mixed with the finest clays and encased in wood to produce a rich, smoothly textured pencil with all the beauty and character of traditional charcoal in a convenient, easy to use form. Available in different hardness gradients just like graphite, so you can control the saturation of your color application. If you want a more versatile tool, try the chunky new Derwent XL CHARCOAL BLOCKS. They can create both powerful lines and subtle gradients with its unique shape and high quality ingredient mix.

CRETACOLOR CHARCOAL PENCILS

Cretacolor CHARCOAL PENCILS are made with compressed charcoal for rich, dark effects and precise, consistent strokes. They are ideal for drawing, sketching, hatching, and smudging with a paper blending stick. Three different grades of saturation are available: soft, medium, and hard. Cretacolor also offers compressed CHARCOAL STICKS made from charcoal particles and clay that have been compressed into a mold and fired. The sticks offer precise, consistent strokes that can be smudged easily with a paper blending stick. Cretacolor CHARCOAL POWDER is perfect for developing large-scale value drawings or preparing backgrounds for subtractive pieces. Mix it with water and a binding agent for additional tonal effects.

Bob's Fine VINE CHARCOAL has been made in Eugene, Oregon, since 1986. Select hardwood is processed at a specific temperature to attain its high quality, smooth consistency, and rich, black color.

GENERAL CHARCOAL PENCILS are an excellent quality pencil made of fine carbon, in four degrees of black and one degree of white. Use the whole set on on toned paper, utilizing white highlights for a stunning, realistic effect. All are pre-sharpened and have smooth cedar casings.
