This informational and hands on workshop will cover the ABC’s of picture framing for work on paper, board, and canvas. We will cover the components that make up a frame, measuring art for a frame, hinging and mounting methods, fitting your art into a frame and basic design. Along with in class discussion I provide a booklet with reference sheets, tips to stay within a budget, resources for materials, and troubleshooting ideas.
Take home a completed frame project that you learned to hinge, glaze, and assemble yourself in class.
All materials provided. Please do not bring personal projects to class.
