Found poetry can be seen as the literary version of collage.Come tap into the mystery of serendipity with the combination of found poetry and images.Delight in an intuitive approach as we create journal entries rich with personal meaning.Writers select source text from book pages, word lists, newspapers or magazines, then rearrange selected words and phrases to generate a found poem. This method of writing can be traced to the Surrealist movement of post WWI Paris where a small group of writers and visual artists sought to channel the unconscious as a means to unlock the power of the imagination. They believed that revelations could be found on the street in discarded fragments of ordinary objects from our everyday lives. In this workshop artists create a series of found poems alongside sketchbook pages embellished with collage, paint and drawing. Two 3.5 hour sessions
