In this weekly workshop, we will discuss and develop ways for you to *spend time* with your artist self on a regular basis. I will share with you (in detail) the menu of things I choose from each day and guide you in creating a personalized menu of your own. Things like: 1.gathering inspiration + making observations about it 2.writing (which could mean list making, note taking, and/or word gathering) 3. working in a sketchbook or visual journal (creating your own drawings + paintings and/or collaging in found inspirational images) 4.taking photos + possibly printing them to include in your sketchbook or visual journal 5.reading and/or listening to podcasts + taking notes when something resonates. I have ideas and experiences to share with you regarding all of these things and more! If the idea of consistent creative practice appeals to you, please know that you are welcome in the class. There will be things you could incorporate into your daily practice with as little as five minutes, if that’s all you have - OR longer, if you do have more time. No experience required. Maximum of 10 students. (Please sign up no later than noon October 6th to insure time to receive class link)

a writing journal
a glue stick + a pair of scissors
a pen, pencil, eraser
a book to use for word gathering (we would just be writing words down from it, not cutting the book up - unless you want to!)
colored pencils, pastels, watercolors, collage materials - anything you like to use!
*if applicable, please be sure to have a pencil sharpener, brushes, a rag, a container of water
magazine images or printed pinterest images
a camera (could just be your phone camera)
a printer (to print photos, if desired)
