    Have you always wanted to draw with ink but wondered where to start? During this 5 hour workshop we will explore a variety of ways to draw with ink using micron pens, dip pens, and brush pens. We’ll draw from photo reference and imagination, and learn how to use line weight and hatching techniques to convey form and texture. Join us and find out what a bit of ink can do! Previous drawing experience is preferred. Maximum of 8 students. One 5 Hour Session

    Materials needed for this class:

    PLEASE HAVE:
    1 HB Tombow mono pencil

    1 Pad of 9” x 12” Bristol paper Vellum Surface.

    Sakura Micron Pens; 1 or more of sizes 005, 02, and 08.

    Speedball Calligraphy dip pen ‘Sketching ‘ set (includes 2 nib holders and 6 nibs)

    1 bottle of waterproof India ink (‘Higgins’, ‘Winsor& Newton’, ‘Dr. PH martin’, or ‘Bombay’ are good brands)

    1 black Pentel Color Brush pen size medium or fine

    Paper Towels

    objects to draw (anything that interests you!)

    access to sink/place for clean up
