It’s mid-Spring and our plant life is busy responding to the longer days and milder temperatures. Observing and illustrating these plants gives us an abundance of subject matter, rich in color, to draw from. The process lets us appreciate the natural world, noticing much more than our usually daily lives allow. More than just drawing plants, botanical drawing lets us utilize color, form, texture, pattern, and value. Come learn about this wonderful discipline and try your hand at becoming a portrait artist of the plant world. It’s helpful if you have taken Beginning Colored Pencil or have some experience working with colored pencil, but all experience levels are welcome. Our class will be on Zoom, a video chat software that is really easy to use. Just download the app on your device. I will provide you with a link before class time. Click on it when class begins, and you are in! Four 2.5-hour sessions. Maximum of 8 students. (Please sign up no later than noon May 4th to insure time to receive class link)

(For a refund on any of our classes, we will need to be notified at least 48 hours in advance of the first class.)

    WE PROVIDE:

Reference photos for use in drawing if needed
