This introductory level workshop covers basic principles of abstract painting. We’ll try our hand at mark making, color mixing, and integrating form and line to build structure in composition. Taking the lead from mid-century masters and contemporary artists, we practice various techniques for layering acrylic paint using additive and subtractive processes. Guided exercises encourage students to draw on both intuition and intention. (Please sign up no later than noon February 1st to insure time to receive the zoom class link.)
