INTRODUCTION TO SCREENPRINTING

Class meets: SUNDAY 8/15/10 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

The goal of this course is to give you a basic understanding of what the screen print medium can do. In this course you will design and print your own image. You will learn basic techniques to build a successful stencil with drawing fluid and screen filler, as well as develop proper printing habits through an exploration of printing on a variety of surfaces. A screen print reference guide that covers basic screen registration techniques, proper printing, care and understanding for tools, as well as clean-up will also be included.
One 3 hour session.
$25.00 plus materials fee.
WE PROVIDE: Printing Ink
PLEASE BRING:
Silkscreen(at least 12”x16”), Squeegee(12”or 10”), Brushes, Gloves, Paper or Fabric(Basically anything you think would be fun to print on!), Duct Tape, Masking Tape, Small Rubber Spatula, Pen, Pencil, Blow-dryer (optional, but helpful) and an image you’d like to make into a print.

least two days in advance of the first class.)
