ENCAUSTIC MIXED MEDIA

In this class we will be working with encaustic wax medium and color mediums while exploring different mixed media elements. We will explore transparent materials, stencils, and transfer images from xerox prints on different prepared surfaces. Learn everything you've ever wanted to know about encaustics and more.
Two 3-hour sessions.

to be notified at least two days in advance of the first class.)

Printed materials (i.e. newspaper, re-purposed book pages, scraps of paper, anything that interests you)
Fine Micron pen
General Layout pencil
Soft Charcoal pencil
1 white Caran dAche oil pastel
Used tea bags
We will discuss materials needed for the second class when we meet the first week.
