ENCAUSTIC MIXED MEDIA

Discover your own personal style and imagery while exploring the beautiful transparent properties of this traditional medium of beeswax and damar resin. In this class we will create our own unique visual language using mixed media and collage with encaustic wax medium. Expand your toolbox as we learn to use watercolor, graphite, pen and ink, oil pastel, and various paper surfaces in new and different ways! All levels of experience welcomed.
Three 3-hour sessions.
$95.00 plus materials fee.
PLEASE BRING TO THE FIRST CLASS:
Scissors
Glue stick
Printed materials (i.e. newspaper, re-purposed book pages, scraps of paper, anything that interests you)
Fine Micron pen
General's Layout pencil
Soft Charcoal pencil
1 white Caran d'Ache oil pastel
Used tea bags
We will discuss materials needed for the second class when we meet the first week.
